Thank you for your interest in participating in MIST Philly. As you know, MIST strives to provide a safe, fun environment for students to explore their talents and develop them through competition. Due to the recent COVID-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak, for the sake of the health of our competitors and participants and in accordance with Drexel Univeristy’s plans for non-academic events, MIST Philly is indefinitely postponed. This is an unprecedented time in our community and we believed this was a necessary precaution to keep everyone safe. While we cannot predict exactly what will happen next, we recognize the hard work all of our competitors, coaches, and other participants, and wish to provide an opportunity for our students to put those efforts on display. Please know we will weather this together as an organization that cares for our attendees above all else. We are pursuing alternative arrangements in partnership with Drexel University administration and MIST National, such as rescheduled dates/locations, virtual tournaments, etc. In the meantime we encourage all to monitor and follow the public health guidance regarding the status of COVID-19 in the coming weeks.

We pray that you all stay safe and healthy. As the organizing team figures out next steps =, we will announce promptly via email and social media. Please make du’a for the MIST team, your fellow competitors, and the ummah as a whole as we work through this situations.
